Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  "As Sheriff I intend to lead and organize efforts to bring citizens, community organizations, and resources, together to combat the issues we are facing." What specific steps are you wanting to take to make that happen?
A: Really it just needs organization and a leader to put it together. There's not much stopping it from happening. I've been working with several groups in this direction already. Good things are happening, but largely in the Omak area. Cities such as Tonasket, Oroville, and Brewster get left out. That needs to change. Leadership happens from the top down.

It all comes down to community. The good people of Okanogan county supporting each other. I will do everything I can to support that.
I have done it all from the bottom to the top. I know how to lead people and direct them toward the goals of the citizens. I have 19 years experience in law enforcement and that career has been filled with activity. I have worked drugs, homicides, rapes, burglaries, robberies, arsons....I could go on. Not only that I have been leading men most of my career. I understand how to bring a department together and show them a common vision. I know how to work within the constraints of a budget and not break it. I have done these things, and done them well. Now let's take this to the County level.
I haven't always been a Cop. I started out in the horse and agriculture industry. I moved to law enforcement because I saw an overwhelming need for leadership. I stepped up and it has worked well for me. We need Deputies who actually care about the public and will help when they can. We need a Sheriff's Office who is involved in all of the current issues in our county and helps lead the way. If I'm your Sheriff I will do this, and I will always aim high. Count on it.
